Full Description

Improved sound

Kawai are known not only for their brilliant range of digital pianos, but also their concert grand pianos - found in some of the most esteemed concert halls in the world. The CN201 features the sound of their flagship Shigeru Kawai SK-EX, as well as the Kawai EX concert grand piano, both meticulously recorded and faithfully reproduced using full 88-key stereo sampling. With an upright piano included as well, the Kawai CN201 offers users a variety of different piano sounds to explore and enjoy in detail.

New Progressive Harmonic Imaging technology now reproduces the way in which an acoustic piano's tonal character changes with the dynamics of your playing. Thanks to the improved audio and speaker hardware present in the CN201, you can now enjoy the sound of your playing more than ever. This piano also features Low Volume Balance and Spatial Headphone Sound settings, allowing for improved dynamic response and realism when playing at low volumes or with headphones plugged in.

Upgraded feel

The new and improved Responsive Hammer III keyboard system allows for an even more realistic and responsive touch than previous Kawai pianos. Featuring graded hammers, which replicate the heavier bass and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano, with added counterweights to grant greater control at pianissimo volumes, this keyboard is an absolute delight to play. There is a modern, triple sensor key detection system, for enhanced note repetition speed and control as well as improved expression at all volumes.

All 88 keys are equipped with Ivory Touch key surfaces, a premium, non-slip, natural matte finish with the feel of vintage pianos. Let-off simulation reproduces the resistance felt when playing a grand piano's keys at gentle volumes. The construction of the keyboard has come with improved cushioning and structural upgrades, further enhancing the overall stability of the piano whilst reducing unwanted key action noise.

Full Bluetooth integration

The Kawai CN201 comes packed to the gills with helpful features, expanding the functionality and making this far more than just a piano. With fully integrated Bluetooth Audio and MIDI connectivity, you can effortlessly connect to and utilise apps such as Kawai's PianoRemote or PiaBookPlayer on your smartphone or tablet. There are also a huge range of third-party piano learning apps which you can connect to wirelessly - or simply stream audio via Bluetooth to your piano's powerful speakers, perfect for play-along practice.

Attractive design

With a new, discreet control panel, and a premium-quality wooden cabinet, this piano has a sleek and stylish design which will perfectly suit any space. Kawai have incorporated a flat fascia and raised upper board, with a curved leg and minimalist toe block design, resulting in a slender, modern aesthetic with a classic nod. The CN201 is available in a variety of finishes, including black, white, and rosewood - suitable for a variety of traditional and modern interiors.
