The North's Award Winning Music Superstore, Since 1922.
Reidy's Home of Music was established in 1922 by our founder, Fred Reidy and is still a family-run business today, almost 100 years on, with his Grandson, Paul Nuttall at the helm. Our humble beginnings began back in 1922, selling banjos and sheet music in the early 20th century before Fred's daughter, Marie Reidy took the reigns, she pushed Reidys in a new direction where we started selling records to great success and even set up our own record label in the '60s. We saw some of the biggest names in music pass through our doors with the label scoring several no.1 hit records in the '60s; and all the way to the present day - yes, the label is still running and still in family ownership!
As well as selling records in the mid-20th century, we were lucky enough to sell legendary musical instruments of the '50s & '60s - including golden-era, vintage Fender & Gibson guitars. If only we'd kept hold of a few! Ever since, we've been selling the best musical instruments from the world of guitars, keyboards, pianos, amps, effects, studio gear and everything else.
Our foundation is built on providing the best customer service possible, and when we opened up online with Reidys.com in 2001, the same ethos carried over. We've amassed thousands of happy customers in our years online - check out our hard-earned 5* Trustpilot rating. Along with our top service, we constantly check our prices to make sure you get your gear at the best price possible, so much so that if you spot anything cheaper from another official retailer in the UK, we'll promise to do all we can to match or better still, beat the price. Now, you can't say fairer than that!
