Description

This second hand amp is in very good condition

The Vetta II is a digital modelling guitar amplifier system by Line 6. It was a flagship in their line-up during the mid-2000s, designed to be an all-in-one amp solution: amp & cab modelling, effects, stereo power and foot controller compatibility

Power / Output    Vetta II: 150 W stereo (combo version with 2×12" custom Celestion speakers)

Amp / Cab / Effects Models    Over 70 classic & modern amp models; 27 speaker cabinet models; A.I.R II room/mic modelling (i.e. cab/mic position and type) for more realistic tone shaping. Over 50 stompbox + studio-effects (filter, synth, modulation, delay, reverb etc.).

Dual-Amp / Stereo Operation    Ability to use two separate amp models simultaneously (for layering or stereo spread) and stereo output/Cab support.

Connectivity    Inputs/outputs include: analog speaker outputs; a digital input for Variax guitars; effects loop; stereo direct outs (XLR and ¼-inch), digital I/O (AES/EBU, S/PDIF) in more advanced models; MIDI in/out; foot-controller inputs.

Controls & Interface    LCD screens; knobs for drive, volume, EQ; presets / patch banks; tap tempo; footswitch compatibility via the FBV / Longboard controllers. Patch editing is fairly flexible though some find it complex.

Weight / Build    Not a light unit — the combo version especially is bulky and dimensions are large.

What Works Well / Strengths

  1. Versatility & Tonal Variety
The amount of modelling (amps, cabs, effects) gives massive flexibility. Whether you want clean, jazz-type tones, medium rock crunch, high gain, or weird synth/filter effects, the Vetta II can do it.

  2. Stereo & Dual-Amp Capability
The ability to run two amps at once and have stereo output adds very interesting creative options. For instance, placing one amp model in one speaker and another in another, or using stereo effects and cab simulation. This helps with stage presence and spatial effects.

  3. Good Integration with Variax
If you have a Variax guitar, the digital input and the saving of Variax settings in patches is a huge plus. Makes switching setups very smooth.

  4. Feature-Rich Building
For its time, it offered abundant features: great effects, multiple cab/mic models, digital I/O, FX loop, patch memory, etc. For someone who wants one piece of hardware to do a lot, this was (and still is) a strong selling point.

The Line 6 Vetta II is a beast of an amp. No other way to put it. For those who want a Swiss Army knife of tones, effects, and switching, it offers massive flexibility. If you’re willing to accept some trade-offs in weight, some of the sound fidelity (especially in the more subtle / vintage tones), and put up with a steeper learning curve, it can be a brilliant rig.
