Description
This second hand guitar tuner pedal is in very good condition
The TC Electronic Polytune 2 Noir is one of the most accurate, fast, and genuinely useful mini tuners ever made. It’s tiny, tough, and the polyphonic mode is still one of the smartest ideas in pedalboard history. If you want a no‑nonsense, always‑on, ultra‑bright tuner that doesn’t eat pedalboard space, this is still a killer choice
A miniature pedal tuner with:
- Polyphonic tuning (strum all strings at once)
- Ultra‑bright LED matrix display
- ±0.1 cent accuracy in strobe mode
- True bypass
- A rugged, compact metal enclosure
Build & Design
Compact but solid
The Noir version is tiny, Boss TU‑3 Mini size but slimmer, and feels properly metal, not toy‑like.
It’s the kind of pedal you can stomp on night after night without worrying.
The display is ridiculously bright
Even outdoors or under harsh stage lights, the LED matrix cuts through.
TC’s display tech is still among the best in the tuner world.
Tuning Performance
1. Polyphonic mode
Still the party trick.
Strum all strings and instantly see which ones are out.
It’s not as hyper‑precise as single‑string mode, but it’s brilliant for quick between‑song checks.
2. Chromatic mode
Fast, stable, and responsive.
No jittery needle, no lag, no hunting.
3. Strobe mode
This is where it becomes a pro tool.
With ±0.1 cent accuracy, it’s as precise as tuners costing twice as much.
Perfect for intonation, studio work, or players who obsess over tuning stability.
Real‑World Use
On a pedalboard
- Takes almost no space
- True bypass keeps your tone clean
- Always-on tuning works great if you run it first in chain
- The Noir finish blends nicely with modern minimalist boards
Live
- Poly mode = instant are we good? check
- Bright display = no squinting
- Fast tracking = no awkward silence between songs
Studio
- Strobe mode is accurate enough for intonation
- Quiet switching
- Doesn’t colour your signal
Pros
- Extremely accurate
- Tiny footprint
- Polyphonic mode is genuinely useful
- Super bright display
- Rugged build
- Great value on the used market
The TC Electronic Polytune 2 Noir remains one of the best mini tuners ever made.
It’s fast, accurate, tiny, and the polyphonic mode still feels futuristic. If you want a tuner that disappears on your board but performs like a premium tool, this is a brilliant choice.
