Description
Description
This second hand guitar is in very good condition.
Some small marks on the body, and a scratch on the back of the neck
The Cordoba F7 Paco is a lightweight, warm‑voiced flamenco guitar inspired by Paco de Lucía’s instruments. It blends traditional flamenco snap with a rounder, more classical‑friendly tone thanks to its cedar/rosewood construction.
Build & Construction
- Top: Solid Western Red Cedar
- Back & Sides: Rosewood (unusual for flamenco; typically cypress/sycamore)
- Neck: Mahogany
- Scale: 650 mm
- Nut Width: 52 mm
- Weight: ~3.5 lbs
- Bracing: Traditional fan bracing
- Cedar and rosewood gives more warmth and sustain
- Still retains enough flamenco attack for rasgueados and golpes.
- Very comfortable for long sessions due to its light build.
Tone & Feel
- Warm, deep bass response uncommon in entry‑level flamencos.
- Fast, lively response for rasgueado patterns.
- Slightly more sustain than a traditional blanca, making it a hybrid‑friendly instrument for players who cross between classical and flamenco.
Playability
-
Featherweight feel makes it responsive and comfortable.
- Neck profile is approachable even for steel‑string players transitioning to nylon.
- Great for fingerstyle beyond flamenco—its warmth suits Latin, folk, and even solo arrangements.
Pros
- Warm, rich tone unusual for flamenco guitars
- Lightweight and very responsive
- Great crossover instrument for classical + flamenco
- Excellent value for money
- Tribute to Paco de Lucía’s aesthetic and sound
Cons
- Not as bright or aggressive as a traditional cypress blanca
- Players wanting a very dry, percussive flamenco sound may prefer a different model
The Córdoba F7 Paco is a superb choice if you want a flamenco guitar with more warmth, depth, and versatility than the typical entry‑level blanca. It’s ideal for players who love Paco de Lucía’s tonal palette, enjoy fingerstyle, or want a nylon guitar that can handle both classical and flamenco repertoire without compromise.
