A classic phaser pedal with a distinctive, swirling sound, the Bad Stone is perfect for guitarists looking to explore everything from subtle, atmospheric modulation to bold, psychedelic sweeps. Whether you're adding movement to clean chords, giving riffs extra character or creating expressive lead tones, this versatile effect opens up a wide range of creative possibilities.

The Bad Stone delivers the rich, sweeping phasing tones that have made this style of effect a favourite among guitarists for decades. Its distinctive modulation adds a sense of motion and texture to your playing, helping ordinary guitar parts stand out in a mix. From warm, vintage-inspired tones to more pronounced, spacey sounds, the Bad Stone is well suited to classic rock, psychedelic music, funk, alternative and experimental styles.

With its straightforward controls, the Bad Stone makes it easy to shape your sound to suit your playing style. The Rate control adjusts the speed of the phasing sweep, allowing you to move between slow, subtle movement and faster, more pronounced modulation. The Feedback control adds resonance and intensity to the effect, helping you create a more prominent, distinctive phaser sound when you want your guitar tone to cut through.

One of the pedal's key features is its Manual Shift control, which gives you additional control over the character of the phasing effect. This allows you to explore different tonal colours and create more focused, filter-like textures alongside the pedal's traditional sweeping sounds. Whether you're experimenting with unusual tones or refining a sound for a particular song, this added control offers plenty of scope for creative expression.

The Electro-Harmonix Bad Stone is an excellent option for guitarists who want more than just a conventional modulation effect. Its combination of classic phaser character and hands-on tonal adjustment makes it a useful tool for building distinctive sounds, adding movement to rhythm parts and bringing extra personality to lead playing. It works particularly well alongside distortion, overdrive and other effects, making it a versatile choice for players who enjoy experimenting with their pedalboard setup.

Ideal for players exploring vintage tones or looking to expand their effects collection, the Bad Stone combines a recognisable phaser sound with the flexibility to make it your own.
