Description

This second hand electric guitar is in great condition

The 2011 Epiphone Les Paul Junior in Classic White sits in that sweet spot where simplicity, affordability, and raw rock‑and‑roll attitude intersect. Epiphone’s Junior models from this period were designed as no‑nonsense workhorses: one pickup, one volume, one tone, and a whole lot of punch. The Classic White finish gives it a slightly more striking look than the usual vintage sunburst or ebony, but the soul of the guitar is pure Junior.

Build & Construction

Epiphone’s early‑2010s Juniors were built to be rugged, lightweight, and accessible.

  • Mahogany body (slab‑style)
  • Bolt‑on mahogany neck
  • Rosewood fingerboard
  • Wraparound bridge
  • Single humbucker (Epiphone ceramic)
  • Single‑cutaway Les Paul Junior shape

The bolt‑on neck and basic hardware were typical for this era and price point. These guitars were built to take a beating and keep going.

 Aesthetic: White

The White finish is what makes this particular 2011 model stand out. It gives the guitar a clean, almost punk‑meets‑garage‑rock vibe — think Billie Joe Armstrong, early Hives, or stripped‑down indie bands. It’s a finish that ages nicely too, often developing a slight cream tint over time.

 Tone & Electronics

This era of the Les Paul Junior used a single ceramic humbucker, not a P‑90. That gives it a very different personality from the vintage‑style Juniors.

What it sounds like

  • Punchy, mid‑forward tone
  • Hot output — great for distortion and overdrive
  • Less vintage grit, more modern bite
  • Tight low end, aggressive attack

Ultimate Guitar reviewers describe the humbucker version as having a “typical mid‑range Epiphone pickup” sound , solid, usable, and surprisingly powerful for the price.

It excels at punk, hard rock, and riff‑driven playing.

Playability

Players consistently note that these Juniors are:

  • Lightweight and comfortable
  • Easy to set up
  • Beginner‑friendly
  • Fast‑feeling thanks to the SlimTaper‑style neck

The gloss neck finish can feel a bit sticky to some players, but that’s easily fixed with a light scuff or polish.

Pros

  • Great value for money
  • Lightweight and comfortable
  • Hot, aggressive humbucker tone
  • Simple controls , perfect for beginners or minimalists
  • Classic White finish looks fantastic
  • Ideal modding platform (pickups, tuners, wiring, bridge)

Who It’s For

This guitar is perfect for:

  • Punk, garage, and hard‑rock players
  • Beginners wanting a simple, reliable first electric
  • Modders looking for a cheap platform to upgrade
  • Fans of stripped‑down, single‑pickup guitars
  • Anyone who wants a Junior but prefers humbuckers over P‑90s

If you want raw, loud, and uncomplicated, the 2011 Classic White Junior absolutely delivers.
