Description

This second hand guitar is in great condition

The 2008 Epiphone Les Paul Studio in Arctic Blue is a striking and affordable version of Gibson’s iconic design, offering players a solid mix of style, tone, and performance without the hefty price tag. Released during a strong production period for Epiphone, this guitar strikes a balance between stripped-back simplicity and expressive Les Paul tone  and the unique Arctic Blue finish gives it a standout aesthetic that separates it from the crowd.

Design & Aesthetics

The most immediate feature of this guitar is its Arctic Blue finish , a bold icy metallic hue that’s rarely seen on Les Pauls. Combined with black hardware and the absence of binding, the result is a modern, stealthy take on a classic shape.

  • Body: Mahogany

  • Neck: Set mahogany, 1960s SlimTaper profile

  • Fretboard: Rosewood with dot inlays

  • Finish: Gloss Arctic Blue with black pickup rings and knobs

This model avoids ornate detailing in favour of a clean and contemporary look. The lack of binding and trapezoid inlays simplifies the look.

 Tone & Pickups

Loaded with Epiphone Alnico Classic humbuckers, the Les Paul Studio delivers warm, full-bodied tone with just enough edge to cut through a mix.

  • Neck Pickup: Smooth and round, ideal for clean chords, jazz voicings, or warm blues solos

  • Bridge Pickup: Gritty and punchy — perfect for classic rock, crunchy rhythm, and mid-gain solos

  • Controls: 2x Volume, 2x Tone, 3-way selector

Playability & Feel

The 2008 Studio features a SlimTaper neck that’s comfortable for most hands — fast but not overly thin. The set-neck construction provides solid sustain, and the rosewood fretboard offers a smooth feel under the fingers.

  • Unique Arctic Blue finish — visually distinctive

  • Classic Les Paul feel and tone at a budget price

  • Comfortable SlimTaper neck

  • Solid mahogany body and neck

  • Responsive humbuckers with a warm voice

The Epiphone Les Paul Studio Arctic Blue (2008) is a stylish, solid-sounding workhorse. It’s ideal for beginners, intermediates, or gigging musicians who want a no-frills Les Paul that looks different from the rest. The tone, and visual punch make it a memorable offering from Epiphone’s late-2000s lineup.
