Description
This second hand bass is in great condition.
The Guild Jumbo Junior Bass is a compact acoustic-electric bass guitar that combines portability with a rich, resonant tone. Designed for players seeking a smaller instrument without compromising on sound quality, it offers a comfortable playing experience suitable for various settings.
Design & Build
The Jumbo Junior features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with laminated flamed maple back and sides, contributing to its clear and tight bass response. Its 23.75-inch scale length and mini-jumbo body shape make it accessible for players of all sizes, while the arched back design enhances projection and tonal depth. The satin polyurethane finish, mother-of-pearl rosette, and tortoiseshell pickguard add aesthetic appeal
Sound & Playability
Despite its smaller size, the Jumbo Junior delivers a warm, woody tone with a surprisingly robust low end. The use of nylon-core phosphor bronze strings contributes to its mellow character, making it suitable for genres ranging from folk to jazz. Players have noted its responsiveness to fingerstyle playing and its ability to produce a full sound both acoustically and when amplified .
Electronics
Equipped with Guild's AP-1 active piezo pickup system, the Jumbo Junior offers straightforward amplification with onboard volume and tone controls. While the electronics are basic, they effectively capture the instrument's natural acoustic tone, making it suitable for live performances and recording sessions
