Description

This second hand guitar is in very good condition

a slight scuff on the headstock, and some light wear on the finish on the body

The S320 is part of Ibanez’s S-Series (also known as Saber body style) and was made in the late 2000s. The “Weathered Black (WK)” finish gives it a matte, open-pore look with a worn-in aesthetic.

  • Body: Mahogany solid body, with thin edges for comfort. “Weathered Black” finish.

  • Neck: Wizard II 3-piece maple; very thin profile.

  • Fingerboard: Rosewood, 22 jumbo frets, with minimal (offset) dot inlays, mostly blank board.

  • Bridge/Tremolo: ZR tremolo bridge (Zero Resistance tremolo) with ZPS2 tuning stabilizer.

  • Pickups: Ibanez Infinity HH setup (Infinity 1 in neck, Infinity 2 in bridge) – passive humbuckers.

  • Controls: Master volume, master tone, 5-way selector.

  • Scale length: 25.5″ (648 mm) standard Ibanez “S” scale

Pros:

  1. Comfort & Playability
The thin, flat Wizard II neck profile is fast and comfortable, especially for lead work, solos, legato, etc. Because the body edges are carved thin, the guitar feels lighter and more ergonomic than many mahogany solid bodies. Good access to upper frets.

  2. ZR Tremolo System
The ZR tremolo is a highlight. It uses a ball bearing mechanism, which many users find smooth, stable, and reliable. It returns reliably to pitch and allows expressive tremolo effects without too much fuss.

  3. Good Value for the Features
For what you pay, you get decent hardware, a premium feel (in the sense of finish & fit), and the kind of tone flexibility many more expensive guitars charge a premium for. A solid HH layout, decent passive humbuckers, good tuning stability, etc.

  4. Tone Versatility
With the Infinity humbuckers, users report it handles a broad range of styles. Clean tones are usable, while the bridge pickup can push into heavier rock or crunch with good aggression. Not boutique-level, but quite good for its class

  5. Aesthetic Appeal
The Weathered Black finish gives it a more rugged, used-look vibe that many players find cool. It hides fingerprints/scratches better than glossy finishes and gives a more mature, less flashy style.

Who It’s Best For

Putting together the strengths and weaknesses, here’s who the S320 Weathered Black is especially good for , and who might prefer something else.

Good for:

  • Players who want a fast neck and comfortable body for lead work, soloing, metal / hard rock, etc.

  • Anyone who values tremolo/vibrato functionality, especially with a floating tremolo system that behaves well.

  • Intermediate players who want a solid workhorse that doesn’t break the bank but gives more than entry-level gear.

  • Players who like the “used” or matte aesthetic, or want something less flashy but still stylish.

  • Those willing to do small mods (pickup swap, better strings, setup) to get more out of it.

The Ibanez S320 Weathered Black is a very good guitar for what it aims to be. It delivers excellent playability, strong hardware (especially the ZR tremolo), versatile tone from its stock humbuckers, and a finish that gives it character. For its price point, it punches well above its weight in many respects.
