Description

This second hand acoustic guitar is in great condition

he Sigma JTC-40E+ is a jumbo-bodied acoustic-electric with a 14-fret cutaway. It features a solid Sitka spruce top and tilia (basswood / linden) back & sides.

Sigma describes it as combining “commanding voicing with delightful definition,” and emphasizes that even unplugged it projects well.

Visually, it’s a classy guitar: white binding, mother-of-pearl soundhole ring, gold open-gear Grover tuners with Butterbean knobs. The finish is an ultra-thin UV style, meant to allow the wood to vibrate more freely. On handling, you notice the body is large (jumbos are big) but the cutaway helps reach upper frets more comfortably.

In short: it looks good, feels solid, and promises a lot in terms of tone possibilities.

Strengths

1. Strong acoustic projection, especially in upper register

Even unplugged, the JTC-40E+ is capable of filling a room. The spruce top gives clarity, and the body size gives volume and presence. Many users report that notes “ring out” with good sustain. The cutaway doesn’t noticeably compromise tonal balance.

2. Versatile onboard electronics (Fishman Presys+)

The built-in Fishman Presys+ preamp is a big asset. You get controls for volume, bass, middle, treble, notch, brilliance, phase, and even a built-in tuner. This gives you flexibility when plugging in, letting you tame harsh frequencies or boost lows to suit your tastes.

3. Playability & setup

The neck is mahogany and low profile” making it comfortable to grip; the nut width is 1-¾" (approx. 44.5 mm) which is a moderate width ,not too narrow. The micarta fretboard is sturdy and resists wear. Many report that the factory setup is decent, though of course fine adjustments may be needed depending on string gauge, climate, etc.

4. Good aesthetic and hardware choices for the class

Things like a bone nut & saddle , Grover open-gear tuners with quality tuning stability, binding, tasteful inlays

The Sigma JTC-40E+ is a strong contender in the mid-range electro-acoustic field. It offers a mix of good build quality, useful electronics, and attractive aesthetics, with a sound that is clear, articulate, and capable of cutting through.
