Description

This second hand case is in very good condition.

some slight scuffs on the outer case.

SKB’s offering stands out as one of the most dependable options on the market. It’s built with the same rugged, road‑ready DNA that defines the brand, yet scaled down to suit the compact proportions of a parlour instrument.

Build Quality & Protection

SKB cases have a reputation for being nearly indestructible, and this one lives up to that legacy. The outer shell is a tough, molded ABS that shrugs off knocks, drops, and the general chaos of travel. The valance system seals tightly, giving the case a reassuring rigidity and helping protect against moisture and temperature swings.

Inside, the plush lining cradles a parlour guitar securely without excessive movement. The neck support is particularly well‑designed—firm enough to prevent shifting, but soft enough not to stress the instrument.

Fit & Compatibility

Parlour guitars vary more in shape than most people realise, but SKB’s interior contouring is surprisingly accommodating. Slim‑bodied 12‑fret designs fit especially well, and even slightly deeper parlours sit comfortably thanks to the generous padding. If your guitar is an unconventional shape or has a wider lower bout, it’s worth double‑checking measurements, but for most standard parlour profiles, the fit is excellent.

Hardware & Practicality

The latches are classic SKB, solid, positive‑feeling, and built to last. The handle is ergonomic and comfortable for longer carries, and the case’s relatively light weight makes it easy to transport without sacrificing durability.

The internal storage compartment is roomy enough for essentials like strings, a tuner, and a capo, though larger accessories (like bulky straps or tools) may be a tight squeeze.

Portability & Use Case

This case is ideal for players who travel frequently, gig regularly, or simply want maximum protection at home. It’s overkill for someone who only needs a lightweight solution for occasional trips, but for anyone who values peace of mind, it’s a standout choice.

Pros

  • Extremely durable molded shell
  • Excellent internal padding and neck support
  • Secure, reliable latches
  • Good fit for most parlour‑sized guitars
  • Lightweight for a hard case

Cons

  • Internal compartment is modest in size
  • Fit may vary with unusually shaped parlours

The SKB hard case for parlour guitars is a premium, high‑protection option that delivers exactly what SKB is known for: rugged reliability, thoughtful design, and long‑term durability. If your parlour guitar deserves serious protection, this case is one of the best investments you can make.
