Description

This second hand guitar is in very good condition

The Squier Affinity Special Strat is one of those guitars that consistently surprises players. It’s designed as an affordable entry point into the Stratocaster world, but it delivers enough tone, comfort, and upgrade potential to satisfy beginners and mod‑happy tinkerers alike. The reviews and specs available online paint a clear picture of a guitar that offers strong value for money, especially for players who want the classic Strat feel without the Fender price tag.

 Overall Impression

The Affinity Special Strat is lightweight, comfortable, and surprisingly well‑built for its price. It captures the essential Stratocaster vibe while keeping things simple and accessible.

It’s not perfect, but it’s far better than a “starter guitar” has any right to be.

 Build Quality & Design

Sources highlight that the Affinity Special Strat uses a solid alder body with a bolt‑on maple neck and a 21‑fret fingerboard. The body is slim and comfortable, and the finish quality is generally impressive for the price.

Notable design features:

  • Classic double‑cut Strat shape
  • Vintage‑style 6‑saddle tremolo
  • Choice of maple or rosewood‑style fingerboard
  • Lightweight feel that’s great for long practice sessions

 Playability

The neck uses a C‑shaped profile, which reviewers describe as comfortable and beginner‑friendly. The fretwork is usually decent out of the box, though some setups may be needed to eliminate sharp fret ends or adjust action.

Players appreciate:

  • Smooth neck feel
  • Easy upper‑fret access
  • Manageable weight
  • A generally “fast” feel for the price

Tone & Electronics

The Affinity Special Strat comes with an S/S/S single‑coil configuration, giving you the classic Strat sparkle and quack. Expect bright, articulate tones that work well for blues, indie, funk, and clean pop.

  • Bridge pickup: bright and cutting
  • Middle pickup: balanced and versatile
  • Neck pickup: warm, round, and great for clean leads

The electronics are basic but reliable and the stock setup is perfectly usable.
