Description

This second hand guitar is in very good condition.

Some small marks and very light scratches to the back of the body, and a few light marks to the bottom of the body on the front.

Design & Playability

The APX700 features Yamaha’s signature thin-line, cutaway body, which is both lightweight and comfortable to play, especially for electric guitarists transitioning to acoustic. The slim profile and easy access to upper frets make it intuitive and inviting to perform with. Many players describe the feel as surprisingly smooth, noting that it “felt the best out of them all” thanks to its maneuverability

Build Quality & Components

  • Top: Solid spruce, valued for its resonance and clarity

  • Back & Sides: Made of nato, which offers balanced tone and durability

  • Neck & Fingerboard: Nato neck with a rosewood fingerboard, offering a smooth playing experience

  • Scale & Body: 650 mm (25.6") scale, body depth around 80–90 mm (~3⅛"–3 9/16")

Electronics

It houses Yamaha’s System-64 1-way A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) pickup system, which uses multi-layer contact sensors directly under the saddle for natural amplified tone and better feedback control . The preamp features volume control, 3-band EQ (with adjustable mid-frequency), and a built-in chromatic tuner

Acoustic & Amplified Tone

  • Unplugged: The APX700 offers a well-balanced midrange and sparkling highs,

  • Plugged In: The A.R.T. system delivers clear, articulate tone with smooth treble and midrange, making it stage-ready and expressive

The Yamaha APX700 is a superb choice for gigging acoustic players, particularly those accustomed to electric guitar ergonomics. While it won’t deliver the volume of a full-depth dreadnought unplugged, its comfortable design, solid amplification system, and polished playability make it an outstanding performer for live use.
