The Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS20 is a distinctive modern electric guitar that combines Yamaha's long-standing reputation for quality with a design inspired by classic British and Japanese motorcycle culture. Finished in Vintage White, this 2023 model has a stylish, understated appearance while offering a versatile selection of tones and a comfortable playing experience. It is a guitar that feels familiar enough for traditional players but has plenty of its own character.

The RSS20 is fitted with a pair of Yamaha VH3 humbucking pickups, delivering a broad range of sounds from warm, rounded neck tones to punchy and articulate bridge sounds. The pickups respond well to changes in playing dynamics and work particularly well across rock, blues, indie and alternative styles. Yamaha's Focus Switch adds another level of versatility, providing a useful boost in midrange and offering a different tonal character when you need extra presence or definition.

The Revstar's chambered body is designed to help reduce weight while contributing to the guitar's resonance and lively response. Combined with the set-neck construction, the RSS20 produces the sustain and fullness expected from a quality double-humbucker guitar. The contoured body also sits comfortably against the player, making it well suited to longer playing sessions.

The neck has a comfortable profile that makes the RSS20 equally enjoyable for rhythm playing and lead work, while the 24-fret fingerboard provides plenty of range. Yamaha's attention to detail is evident throughout the instrument, from the solid hardware to the clean finish and overall build quality. The Vintage White finish gives the guitar a particularly classy appearance and helps distinguish it from more traditional Les Paul-style designs.

Overall, the Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS20 is an excellent choice for guitarists looking for something a little different without compromising on build quality or versatility. With its powerful humbuckers, useful Focus Switch, comfortable construction and distinctive styling, it is a highly capable modern electric guitar that can cover a huge variety of musical styles.
