Description

This acoustic guitar is as new except for one small scratch on the body

Art & Lutherie Roadhouse Parlour Electro-Acoustic – Bourbon Burst
Concise takeaway: A compact, rootsy parlour with a warm, woody voice, punchy midrange, and a genuinely characterful feel. Ideal for blues, folk, and singer‑songwriter work, with a stage‑ready pickup and that unmistakable Canadian hand‑built charm.

What makes the Roadhouse Parlour stand out

The Roadhouse series is Art & Lutherie’s love letter to early 20th‑century parlour guitars: small-bodied, bluesy, and full of personality. The Bourbon Burst finish adds a vintage, smoky aesthetic that suits the guitar’s earthy tone.

Build & Feel

  • Body: Solid spruce top with wild cherry back and sides
This combo gives you a crisp attack from the spruce and a warm, slightly compressed midrange from the cherry.
  • Neck: Silver Leaf Maple with a semi‑gloss finish
Smooth, fast, and comfortable for both thumb‑over blues and fingerstyle.
  • Scale length: 24.84"
Slightly shorter, making bends easier and chords softer under the fingers.
  • Parlour size:
Tight, focused projection with a very intimate feel, perfect for couch playing, recording, and singer‑songwriter work.

Tone Profile

  • Mid-forward and punchy ,classic parlour character, ideal for blues, ragtime, and rootsy strumming.
  • Warm lows without boominess ,the smaller body keeps things controlled.
  • Clear, articulate highs , great for fingerpicking and melodic lines.
  • Natural compression ,  makes it feel “record-ready” straight out of the box.

This guitar doesn’t try to be a dreadnought. It leans into its parlour identity, and that’s where its charm lies.

 Aesthetic & Build Quality

The Bourbon Burst finish is one of Art & Lutherie’s best:

  • Rich, vintage-inspired burst
  • Semi-gloss that feels organic rather than plasticky
  • Hand-built in Canada with sustainably sourced woods

It has that “old soul” vibe without feeling gimmicky.

Home playing

Perfect for sofa sessions, late-night noodling, and songwriting. The smaller body keeps volume manageable.

Recording

The focused midrange sits beautifully in a mix. You don’t fight boominess or excessive overtones.

Gigging

Lightweight, comfortable, and the Fishman system is plug‑and‑play. Works well for acoustic blues, folk, Americana, and solo sets.

Strengths

  • Characterful, rootsy parlour tone
  • Excellent build quality for the price
  • Lightweight and comfortable
  • Great for fingerstyle and blues
  • Natural-sounding electronics
  • Beautiful Bourbon Burst finish

The Art & Lutherie Roadhouse Parlour Electro-Acoustic Bourbon Burst is a guitar with character. It’s not trying to be a do‑everything acoustic, it’s a vibe machine.
