Last Order Dates for Delivery Before Christmas
For all those musical gifts;
The last date to order in stock items for standard delivery before Christmas was 2pm, December 22nd.
For selected items that have the Next Working Day Delivery option available, it can be as late as 2pm , December 23rd - if critical, please check with us for next day availability.
Please Note: While we'll try our very best to get your order to you before Christmas , these are not guaranteed dates as couriers can have delays at this time of year.
For collect in store orders, you can order right up to 12 noon Christmas Eve
Shipping Over The Holidays,
We and our couriers won't be open on the bank holidays, so orders placed after 12noon Christmas Eve will be sent on Monday, December 29th, and orders placed after 12noon New Year's Eve will be sent on Friday, January 2nd.
We'll always do our very best to get orders to you on time , but please be aware that delays with couriers can happen at this time of year due to adverse weather or high volume of parcels . We always recommend ordering as soon as possible - if in any doubt , please get in touch to check before ordering

- Our Standard Shipping: This is our most affordable shipping option, with delivery by express courier taking 1-3 business days , normally via DPD or DHL parcel. Currently FREE on orders of £399 or over and £6.95 for orders under £399
- Next working day Shipping: If you need your guitar in a hurry, our Next Working Day shipping option means next working day delivery if you order before 2pm. Currently £12.99. (please note, working day means Monday-Friday , excluding bank holidays - Orders placed before 2pm Friday will be delivered Monday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday would shipped on Monday, delivered Tuesday.) * Please Note: Next Working Day option is not available on some items , check delivery options at the checkout.
- Shipping to Northern Ireland - can take 48 hours to arrive , and please note we can't send very heavy items such as pianos to Northern Ireland due to courier restrictions. £19.99

This second hand electric guitar is in great condition
1993 model, made in Korea
In the early 1990s, Epiphone production was based mainly in Korea, with factories such as Samick and Peerless building guitars under Gibson’s supervision. These models have since gained a reputation as some of the best “pre-China” Epiphones, offering strong build quality and vintage-style character at an accessible price. The 1993 Les Paul Standard represents a key point in Epiphone’s history, bridging the gap between budget-friendly instruments and Gibson-inspired craftsmanship.
Build & Design

Body: Mahogany body with a maple top veneer (some models had plain tops, others had light flame depending on the batch).

Neck: Set mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, and a 24.75" scale length.

Finish: Available in Cherry Sunburst, Tobacco Sunburst, Ebony, and Wine Red. The finish on these early 90s models tends to have aged gracefully, giving many a lightly vintage patina.

Hardware: Nickel-plated hardware, Tune-o-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, and Grover-style tuners (though some had unbranded Korean tuners originally).

Weight: Typically heavy, in true Les Paul fashion, often around 9–10 lbs.
Electronics

Pickups: Stock Epiphone humbuckers from this era were serviceable but not exceptional. They leaned toward a mid-heavy, slightly muddy tone compared to higher-end Gibson pickups. Many owners later swapped them for Seymour Duncans, DiMarzios, or Gibson ’57 Classics.

Controls: Standard Les Paul layout — 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way selector switch.

The pots and switch were decent but not as robust as Gibson hardware; upgrades were common.
Tone & Performance

Clean tones: Warm, rounded, and somewhat dark compared to brighter Fender-style guitars. Good for jazz, blues, and classic rock rhythms.

Overdriven tones: With gain, the guitar delivers that familiar Les Paul growl, but the stock pickups can get slightly muddy under high gain. With upgraded electronics, these Korean Standards really come alive.

Sustain: Thanks to the mahogany build and set neck, sustain is strong — one of the defining strengths of this model.

Playability: Slim 60s-style neck profile on many 1993 Standards, making them fast and comfortable. The fretwork was generally solid, although sometimes a little less refined than Japanese or US-made guitars of the era.
