Description

This second hand guitar is in very good condition.

Includes original Gibson hard case and paperwork.

Overview & Build Quality

  • This 2010 Traditional is part of Gibson’s Les Paul Traditional line (2008–2012) . In 2010 it featured a weight-relieved body

  • The body is mahogany with a maple top, and the neck is also mahogany, with a rosewood fretboard.

  • It has a set neck, which helps with sustain and contributes to the classic Les Paul feel.

  • The neck profile is a C shape / 50s-style thickness.

  • The fretboard radius is 12″, with 22 frets.

  • Hardware includes a Tune-o-Matic bridge and a stop-bar tailpiece (very classic Les Paul configuration).

  • Finish-wise, the Heritage Cherry Sunburst is a rich, vintage-style sunburst

Electronics & Tone

  • This model comes with ’57 Classic and ’57 Classic Plus humbuckers, known for a warm, vintage-voiced Les Paul tone.

  • According to long-time owners, the guitar delivers a strong, balanced tone: in bridge position, you get punch and clarity; in neck position, the sound is full and sweet.

  • There is coil-splitting on this model: you can pull up on the volume knobs to split the coils, which gives a more single-coil-like twang or brightness if you want more tonal variety.

  • The pickups combined with the solid mahogany + maple build give a rich, resonant sound with very good sustain — a hallmark of Les Pauls.

Playability & Feel

  • The neck is relatively thick (especially for players used to slim modern necks), which will be familiar to fans of vintage LPs. Given the 50s-style profile, it's a comfortable grip for chordal work and soloing.
  • The 12″ fretboard radius helps with string bending and playability up the neck.

  • Because of the weight-relief (in this era), it's a little lighter than totally solid Les Pauls, though still substantial — not a feather, but more manageable. (Weight relief was reintroduced in this generation.)

  • Setup-wise, many users praise the build quality for this model, noting good finish, solid binding, and reliable tuning stability.

Pros

  1. Classic Les Paul Tone: Warm, fat low end; great sustain; vintage-voiced pickups.

  2. Versatility: Coil-splitting gives you extra tonal options, from humbucker grit to brighter, twangier tones.

  3. Solid Build: Set neck, quality wood choices, good fit and finish.

  4. Left-Handed Availability: Lefty Les Pauls are less common, so having a well-built left-handed traditional is a real plus.

  5. Value: For a genuine USA-made Les Paul with classic tone, this model often represents very good value on the used market.

Who It’s Best For

  • Classic Rock / Blues / Vintage Tone Players: If you're chasing the quintessential Les Paul sound , this gutiar shines.

  • Left-Handed Players: Definitely a standout for lefties who want a high-quality Les Paul without paying boutique or custom-shop premiums.

  • Studio & Live Use: Versatile enough to work in both contexts, thanks to its solid tone and coil-splitting option.

  • Guitarists Who Prioritize Build & Feel: Those who appreciate traditional build quality, weight, and the feel of a classic Les Paul neck will enjoy this.

The 2010 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Left-Hand Heritage Cherry Sunburst is a very strong, no-nonsense Les Paul. It nails the vintage LP ethos , warm, sustaining tone, high-quality construction, and a feel that leans into classic rock roots  while adding a touch of modern flexibility via coil-splitting.

If you’re a left-handed player looking for a real Les Paul that won't feel like a compromise, this is a compelling choice. And for players more generally, it’s a great pick if you value tone and build over flashy aesthetics. It’s not the lightest, but for many, the tone payoff is well worth it.
