Description
This second hand electro-acoustic guitar is in very good condition.
A couple of little dents in the body, and on the back of the headstock, and a nick on the heel of the neck
Includes Gretsch Hard Case
The Guild GAD D-125CE is an electro-acoustic guitar that has garnered attention for its quality craftsmanship and rich tonal characteristics. As part of Guild's Acoustic Design (GAD) series, this model is designed to offer premium features at an accessible price point.
Design and Build Quality
The GAD D-125CE features a dreadnought cutaway body shape, providing robust projection and easy access to higher frets. It is constructed entirely of solid mahogany, including the top, back, and sides, which contributes to its warm and resonant tonal profile.
Neck and Playability
The mahogany neck is attached to the body using a dovetail joint, ensuring stability and sustain. Topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard adorned with dot inlays, the neck offers a comfortable playing experience suitable for various playing styles.
Electronics and Hardware
Equipped with Fishman Sonitone electronics, the GAD D-125CE ensures a natural amplified tone suitable for both live performances and studio recordings. The soundhole-mounted controls for volume and tone allow for intuitive adjustments without detracting from the guitar's aesthetics. The rosewood bridge, NuBone saddle, and chrome die-cast tuners contribute to reliable tuning stability and overall performance.
Sound Quality
Players have praised the GAD D-125CE for its deep, clear tone, reminiscent of Guild's higher-end models like the D-25. The all-mahogany construction delivers a warm and balanced sound, making it versatile across various musical genres.
User Feedback
Users have highlighted the guitar's excellent construction, quality solid woods, and great value, especially considering it comes with a hardshell case. The D-125CE is often regarded as one of the best deals in its category, offering features typically found in more expensive instruments.
Conclusion
The Guild GAD D-125CE stands out as a well-crafted, all-solid-wood electro-acoustic guitar that delivers exceptional value. Its combination of quality materials, reliable electronics, and comfortable playability make it a commendable choice for musicians seeking both style and substance in their instrument.
