Description
This second hand acoustic guitar is in great condition,
Includes original Taylor structured gig bag.
The Taylor 112ce Left‑Hand 2024 stands out as a comfortable, bright‑voiced Grand Concert acoustic‑electric that delivers the signature Taylor playability at a price point that still feels premium without being prohibitive. It’s a lefty‑friendly option that doesn’t feel like an afterthought, and the 2024 build continues the line’s reputation for consistency and musicality.
Overall Character and Tone
The 112ce platform is known for its chiming spruce‑top clarity, lively response, and an articulate midrange that suits fingerstyle and light strumming especially well. Players consistently describe it as bright, open, and responsive, with a tone that punches above its size.
The tonal balance is shaped by:
- Solid Sitka spruce top for clarity and dynamic range
- Layered walnut or sapele back and sides (depending on the specific run) for warmth and stability
- Grand Concert body that keeps the low end tight and focused
Playability and Feel
Taylor’s necks are famously comfortable, and the 112ce continues that tradition. The smaller body and slim neck profile make it especially appealing for left‑handed players who want an instrument that feels effortless from the first chord.
Key feel characteristics:
- Smooth, fast neck (often maple or mahogany depending on the run)
- Low, consistent factory action
- Compact body that’s easy to hold for long sessions
Electronics and Live Use
The onboard Taylor ES2 electronics deliver a reliable, gig‑ready amplified tone. They emphasise the guitar’s natural midrange, which some players love for cutting through a mix, while others find it a bit forward.
Build Quality and Materials
Taylor’s Mexican‑built models have earned a reputation for impressive consistency and craftsmanship, and the 112ce Left‑Hand 2024 continues that trend.
Notable build features:
- Solid spruce top for tonal development over time
- Layered back and sides for durability and climate stability
- Ebony fingerboard for smooth feel and tonal richness (on many runs)
Pros
- Exceptional playability for the price
- Bright, articulate tone that suits many styles
- Comfortable Grand Concert body
- Reliable ES2 electronics for stage use
- High build quality and consistency
Cons
- Midrange can dominate when strumming hard
- Brightness may not appeal to players wanting a warmer, darker voice
- Smaller body means less low‑end bass.
The Taylor 112ce Left‑Hand 2024 is a high‑value, highly playable left‑handed acoustic‑electric that delivers clarity, comfort, and reliability. It’s ideal for left‑handed players who want a compact, expressive guitar that feels inspiring both unplugged and amplified. It excels at articulate, modern acoustic tone with effortless playability.
