Washburn WD7SCE ATBM Harvest Series Dreadnought Sunburst

The Washburn WD7SCE ATBM is a versatile dreadnought electro-acoustic guitar that combines traditional acoustic tone with practical features for live performance. Part of Washburn's Harvest Series, this model offers an appealing combination of quality tonewoods, comfortable playability and built-in electronics, making it a great choice for singer-songwriters, performing musicians and guitarists looking for a dependable instrument for both home practice and the stage.

At the heart of the WD7SCE is a solid Sitka spruce top, supported by quarter-sawn, scalloped Sitka spruce bracing. This construction helps deliver a clear, resonant sound with a good balance of warmth, projection and definition. The mahogany back and sides complement the spruce top with a rich, rounded tonal character, producing a full-bodied acoustic voice that works particularly well for strumming, open chords and accompanying vocals. The dreadnought body provides plenty of volume and presence, making it equally suitable for solo playing and group performances.

The guitar features a traditional dreadnought body with a single cutaway, allowing easier access to the higher frets for lead lines, melodic passages and more adventurous playing. Its mahogany neck has a comfortable satin finish, helping the hand move smoothly along the fretboard, while the 20-fret fingerboard provides a familiar playing experience for guitarists of different abilities. A 25.5-inch scale length and approximately 43mm nut width offer a conventional feel that will suit a wide range of playing styles.

Finished in an attractive All Tobacco Burst Matte sunburst, the WD7SCE has a distinctive vintage-inspired appearance. Cream body binding, a decorative custom wood-inlay rosette and chrome die-cast tuning machines add to its overall presentation. The matte finish gives the guitar a more understated look, while the contrasting burst colouring highlights the natural character of the wood.

As an electro-acoustic model, the WD7SCE is equipped with onboard EQ4-T electronics, allowing you to connect directly to an amplifier, acoustic guitar combo or PA system. The onboard controls provide useful tonal adjustment, and the integrated tuner makes it convenient to keep the guitar in tune without needing a separate device. This makes the instrument a practical option for open-mic nights, rehearsals, gigs and recording setups where amplified acoustic sound is required.

Combining a solid spruce top, mahogany body, comfortable cutaway design and built-in amplification, the Washburn WD7SCE ATBM offers an impressive range of features in a versatile electro-acoustic guitar. Its full dreadnought sound makes it particularly well suited to strumming and songwriting, while its onboard electronics and accessible design make it a strong choice for musicians who want an acoustic guitar that can move easily between home and live performance.
