Way Huge UR4TCE Tenor Electro-Acoustic Ukulele Left Hand

The Baton Rouge UR4TCE is a well-equipped tenor electro-acoustic ukulele designed for players who want a fuller acoustic sound alongside the convenience of built-in amplification. Featuring a traditional tenor body, a practical cutaway design and an attractive high-gloss finish, this left-handed model offers a combination of quality materials, comfortable playability and performance-ready features. It is an excellent option for ukulele players looking to move beyond a basic beginner instrument and explore a wider range of playing styles.

One of the highlights of the UR4TCE is its solid German spruce top, which provides a clear, responsive tone with good projection and definition. The mahogany back and sides complement the spruce with warmth and body, helping to produce a balanced sound that works well for both gentle fingerpicking and more energetic strumming. The tenor body offers a little more room and tonal depth than smaller soprano and concert ukuleles, making it particularly appealing to guitarists and players who prefer a fuller sound.

The instrument features a comfortable nato neck paired with a rosewood fingerboard, providing a familiar playing feel and a smooth surface for moving between chords and melodic passages. With a 430mm scale length and a nut width of approximately 37mm, the UR4TCE offers a traditional tenor playing experience. NuBone nut and saddle components help support good string contact and resonance, while the supplied Aquila strings are well suited to producing the bright, lively tone associated with quality ukuleles.

The single cutaway body makes it easier to reach the higher frets, offering greater flexibility for lead playing and more intricate arrangements. Its high-gloss finish is complemented by maple binding, giving the instrument a smart, carefully finished appearance. Guitar-style die-cast machine heads with black buttons provide a familiar tuning arrangement and allow for precise tuning adjustments.

For amplified performance, the UR4TCE is fitted with a Shadow JW1 pickup system, allowing you to connect directly to an amplifier or PA system. This makes it a practical choice for live performances, rehearsals, open-mic nights and recording applications where a consistent amplified sound is required. The combination of acoustic versatility and onboard electronics means you can enjoy the instrument at home or take it onto the stage with minimal additional equipment.

Designed specifically for left-handed players, the Baton Rouge UR4TCE combines a solid spruce top, mahogany body, comfortable tenor proportions and useful amplification in an attractive electro-acoustic package. Whether you are accompanying vocals, experimenting with fingerstyle playing or performing live, it offers a versatile and enjoyable ukulele experience with the added benefit of a cutaway design and built-in pickup system.
