At the heart of the PSR-282 is a 61-key keyboard that provides a generous playing range while remaining compact enough for home use. The keyboard includes a variety of instrument sounds, allowing you to explore everything from acoustic and electric pianos to organs, strings, brass and other popular sounds. This makes it a useful instrument for practising different parts, writing ideas and simply experimenting with different tones.

The built-in accompaniment functions add another dimension to the PSR-282. Players can select from a range of rhythms and backing styles to create a fuller musical arrangement while playing. This makes the keyboard particularly enjoyable for developing timing and coordination, as well as allowing beginners to experience playing along with an accompanying band.

Yamaha has also included a range of features aimed at helping players develop their skills. The PSR-282 is straightforward to operate, with its controls giving quick access to the various voices, styles and functions. The built-in speakers provide a convenient way to play without the need for additional amplification, while a headphone connection allows for quieter practice when required.

The PSR-282 is equally at home as a practice instrument, songwriting tool or general-purpose keyboard. Its 61-key layout gives considerably more range than smaller beginner keyboards, while its portable design makes it easy to move and set up. The included L6 keyboard stand is a useful addition, providing a suitable platform for the keyboard and making the complete setup convenient for home playing.

Overall, the Yamaha PSR-282 is a practical and feature-packed keyboard that combines Yamaha's approachable design with a wide selection of sounds, rhythms and accompaniment options.
