Description

This second hand bass guitar is in good condition.

Plays fine, all good apart from one dent on the back of the body ,and a crack in the lacquer on the front in between the pickups

Body    Solid alder, double-cutaway
Neck / Fingerboard    Bolt-on maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, 24 frets
Scale length    34″ (863.6 mm)
Pickups / Electronics    PJ-style: one split (precision) pickup + one single-coil (jazz) pickup; separate volumes + master tone (and balance control)
Bridge & Tuners    Vintage-style four-saddle hardtail bridge; die-cast tuners (often oil-bath or self-lubricating style)

What It Does Well

  1. Versatility of Tone (PJ Configuration)
The combination of a split-coil P pickup and a single-coil J pickup offers a decent palette of tones. You can go from thick, punchy low end (P pickup) to brighter, more articulate lines (J pickup), or mix to taste via the balance (blend) control.

  2. Playability & Neck / Upper-Fret Access
The body has wide-cutaway contours to allow access to higher frets comfortably. The neck slim and comfortable for many hand sizes.

  3. Value for Money / Reliability
For its market segment, the RBX270J offers quite good wood choice (alder body) and useful electronics. Many users express surprise at how solid the build is for a mid/budget instrument.

  4. Aesthetic & Ergonomics
Light weight (thanks to alder and design), balanced body, and multiple finish options help make it pleasing both visually and physically.

The Yamaha RBX270J offers a strong value proposition in the world of bass guitars. It doesn’t pretend to compete with boutique or professional instruments, but for its price it gives a usable, flexible, and enjoyable playing experience.
